Remote sensing of air-sea interactions [PDF]
A number of preliminary concepts for the measurement or inference of fluxes across the air-sea interface through remote sensing are proposed. All the methods are achievable from aircraft with state-of-the-art technology.

ALDOA Promotes Glycolysis and NLRP3/GSDMD Pyroptosis to Accelerate ALS Progression
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is characterized by progressive motor neuron degeneration. Glycolytic dysregulation is implicated in disease progression, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study investigates how Aldolase A (ALDOA) drives ALS progression through glycolysis‐mediated motor neuron pyroptosis.

Temperature inversions in Austria in a warming climate – changes in space and time
Alpine valleys and forelands are prone to near-surface air temperature inversions, particularly during the cold season, that affect both environment and society through altered values of frost occurrence, snow cover duration, incoming radiation ...

The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

Characteristics of Surface Temperature Inversion at the Muztagh-Ata Site on the Pamir Plateau
In this paper, based on all the data from September 2021 to June 2024 collected by a 30 m meteorological tower and a differential image motion monitor (DIMM) at the Muztagh-Ata site located on the Pamir Plateau in western Xinjiang, China, we study the ...

Temperature inversion in granular fluids under gravity
We study, via hydrodynamic equations, the granular temperature profile of a granular fluid under gravity and subjected to energy injection from a base. It is found that there exists a turn-up in the granular temperature and that, far from the base, it ...
