TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

The Temperature Profile for the Innovative Design of the Perforated Fin [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The development of the perforated fin had proposed in many studies to enhance the heat transfer from electronic pieces. This paper presents a novel derivative method to find the temperature distribution of the new design (inclined perforated) of the pin ...

Reversal-free CaIIH profiles: a challenge for solar chromosphere modeling in quiet inter-network

open access: yes, 2008
We study chromospheric emission to understand the temperature stratification in the solar chromosphere. We observed the intensity profile of the CaIIH line in a quiet Sun region close to the disk center at the German Vacuum Tower Telescope.

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

Temperature profiles in microwave heated solid foods of slab geometry: Influence of process parameters

open access: yesCzech Journal of Food Sciences, 2001
A simple 1-D mathematical model for prediction of local temperatures in a layer of solid material during microwave heating (Houšová et al. 1998) and a sensitivity analysis were used to evaluate the influence of process and material parameters on vertical

Daytime Temperature Profiles

open access: yesJournal of the Atmospheric Sciences, 1966
Abstract An equation for the daytime lapse rate of temperature as a function of z/L is derived assuming the lapse rate varies as z−⅔ in very light winds. This variation is presumed to result from the geometry of buoyant plumes. The equation, which agrees very well with some data taken by Dyer, predicts a maximum value for the lapse rate at a fixed ...

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

A novel method for computation of temperature profile of turbine disk

open access: yesJournal of Thermal Science and Technology, 2017
A novel temperature computation method of turbine disk is proposed according to theoretical analysis, where the coupling analysis of the outer surface in disk and fluid relative to this outer surface was carried out, instead of the segregation condition (

Suzaku measurement of Abell 2204's intracluster gas temperature profile out to 1800 kpc

open access: yes, 2009
Context: Measurements of intracluster gas temperatures out to large radii are important for the use of clusters for precision cosmology and for studies of cluster physics.

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...
