Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

An investigation of the polarization dependence of a temperature sensor based on an optical microfiber coupler

open access: yes
The dependence on polarization of the performance of a microfiber coupler based temperature sensor is experimentally investigated. The optical microfiber coupler based temperature sensor has a diameter circa 2µm and can sense temperature in the range ...

Views from the coalface: chemo-sensors, sensor networks and the semantic sensor web [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Currently millions of sensors are being deployed in sensor networks across the world. These networks generate vast quantities of heterogeneous data across various levels of spatial and temporal granularity. Sensors range from single-point in situ sensors

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Development of Highly Sensitive and Thermostable Microelectromechanical System Pressure Sensor Based on Array-Type Aluminum–Silicon Hybrid Structures

open access: yesMicromachines
In order to meet the better performance requirements of pressure detection, a microelectromechanical system (MEMS) piezoresistive pressure sensor utilizing an array-type aluminum–silicon hybrid structure with high sensitivity and low temperature drift is

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Microhotplate temperature sensor calibration and BIST

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper we describe a novel long-term microhotplate temperature sensor calibration technique suitable for Built-In Self Test (BIST). The microhotplate thermal resistance (thermal efficiency) and the thermal voltage from an integrated platinum ...
