Endoscopic pyrometric temperature sensor
Optics Letters, 2020We demonstrate a pyrometric contact-less temperature sensor using a flexible fused silica fiber of 360 µm diameter able to measure down to 30°C with a precision better than 1°C at 10 Hz. Silica fibers, as opposed to dedicated mid-IR fibers, are non-degrading, low-cost, and bio-compatible.

A fiber-optic temperature sensor
Automation and Remote Control, 2013In this paper we demonstrate the feasibility of designing a fiber-optic temperature sensor based on the principles of low-coherent tandem interferometry; the sensitive element represents a plane-parallel plate produced from fused silica of thickness 500 µm (the corresponding measurement range is between 40 and 90°C).

Wireless Temperature Sensor System
International Conference on Networking, International Conference on Systems and International Conference on Mobile Communications and Learning Technologies (ICNICONSMCL'06), 2006Knowledge of temperature course during a certain time is needed in scientific, medical and industrial applications. In some applications, however, the recorded temperature course should be read wirelessly. This paper describes main principles applied in a set of mobile temperature data logger and portable interrogator with wireless transfer of ...

An Optical Wireless Temperature Sensor
2019 IEEE SENSORS, 2019This paper presents a wireless temperature sensor that uses a GaAs solar cell as a wireless transmitter of information. Transmission of information with a solar cell is possible by modulating the luminescent radiation emitted by the solar cell. This technique, dubbed Optical Frequency Identification or OFID, was recently reported in the literature and ...

Wireless Graphene Temperature Sensor
2020 IEEE SENSORS, 2020We demonstrate a sensitive wearable temperature sensor integrated with graphene electrodes on a flexible polyvinyl chloride substrate. The polymer-assisted transfer method of graphene provides a facile and cost-effective way for sensor fabrication. The graphene-enabled temperature sensor demonstrates good performance and opportunity of extending its ...

A CMOS Temperature Sensor Circuit
IEICE Transactions on Electronics, 2007A supply voltage (V DD ) independent temperature sensor circuit, which can be realized by the optimum combination of three current modes of n-MOSFETs including the subthreshold current using the feedback scheme from the temperature dependent voltage (V TD ) output to the gates of three n-MOSFETs, was proposed and fabricated by a standard 1.2μm n-well ...

SAW temperature sensor on Quartz
IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control, 2015For biomedical applications, narrow temperature range and high sensor accuracy requirements define the need for high temperature sensitivity. Wireless SAW sensors connected to antennas need a reference element to account for changes in electromagnetic coupling between the transmitter and receiver antennas.

The rabbit ear as a temperature sensor
Life Sciences, 1971Abstract New Zealand White rabbits were exposed to cold (8°C) and their ears heated selectively by thermal radiation for short periods. Although other skin temperatures remained unchanged, the mild heating of the ears to 30°C inhibited shivering and resulted in a substantial decrease in oxygen consumption and internal body temperature.

Miniaturized Flexible Temperature Sensor
Journal of Microelectromechanical Systems, 2007We realize a flexible temperature sensor based on a micropatterned thin-film platinum resistor. The sensor is situated at the end of a 100-mum-wide and 7-cm-long probe. The latter consists of a biocompatible high-temperature-resistant polyimide (U-Varnish-S, UBE Industries, Tokyo, Japan) in which the platinum resistor and the electrical contact leads ...
