Low-temperature Chemistry in Uniform Supersonic Flows
2018The behaviour of gas-phase chemical reactions at low temperatures (below 200 K) is of fundamental interest, but also of relevance to a variety of natural environments, either Earth-bound, such as the upper troposphere and the stratosphere, or extraterrestrial, such as the atmospheres of other planets and their satellites, comets, and interstellar ...

Resonance absorption and non-uniform temperature distributions
Journal of Nuclear Energy. Parts A/B. Reactor Science and Technology, 1962S>The resonance absorption of neutrons by bodies having complicated shapes and nonuniform temperature distributions is studied. An effective temperature T is defined for the body as a fanction of the actual temperature distribution, the neutron flux distribution, and the shape of the body.

Composite Structures, 2015
Abstract Free vibration and thermal stability analyzes of functionally graded (FG) sandwich plates are carried out by using the advanced Hierarchical Trigonometric Ritz Formulation (HTRF). Refined higher-order kinematics plate models accounting for through-the-thickness deformation are developed within the framework of Carrera’s Unified Formulation ...

Abstract Temperature distributions in a straight fin of rectangular profile (or in a cylindrical fin) with uniform and non-uniform internal heat-generation characteristics and non-uniform heat transfer coefficients are derived analytically. The heat transfer coefficient is assumed to be a power function of the difference between the temperature of ...
