Ab initio inspection of thermophysical experiments for molybdenum near melting

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
We present quantum molecular dynamics calculations of thermophysical properties of solid and liquid molybdenum in the vicinity of melting. Detailed analysis of available experimental isobaric expansion data and extensive comparison over a wide set of ...

Temperature-Sombor and Temperature-Nirmala Indices

open access: yesINTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF MATHEMATICS AND COMPUTER RESEARCH, 2022
In this paper, we introduce the temperature-Sombor index, modified temperature-Sombor index and temperature-Nirmala index of a graph. Also we compute these temperature indices for some standard graphs and tetrameric 1,3-adamantane. Furthermore, we establish some properties of newly defined temperature-Sombor index and temperature-Nirmala index.

The Influence of External Radiation on the Emission Properties of H- and He-like Argon Ions in High Temperature Plasma

open access: yesAtoms
In the present work, the influence of external X-ray radiation on the kinetics of multicharged ions in high-temperature plasma is investigated. A generalized diagnostic approach is proposed for the electron density and temperature measurements of photo ...

Coulomb stable structures of charged dust particles in a dynamical trap at atmospheric pressure in air

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2013
A mathematical simulation of a dust particle's behavior in the electrodynamic linear quadrupole trap with closing end electrodes allowed us to reveal several features of the phenomena.

Resonant Nonequilibrium Temperatures [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2005
We investigate nonequilibrium temperatures in a two-state system driven to a nonequilibrium steady state by the action of an oscillatory field. The nonequilibrium temperature is determined by coupling a small cavity or probe to the nonequilibrium system and studying the fluctuating noise in the cavity, as has been proposed in the context of glassy ...

Low-Temperature Physics [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 1948
THE great attraction of low temperature physics as a field of research is that so many of the phenomena still lack any fundamental theory, so that the outcome of any new experiment is rarely a foregone conclusion. The outstanding phenomena at present requiring something deeper than ‘phenomen-ologica theories are superconductivity and the properties of ...

Synthesis of Nanoparticles of Different Morphology in a DC Discharge

open access: yesNanomaterials
The synthesis of nanoparticles in the plasma of a stratified DC gas discharge was carried out under typical gas discharge conditions, i.e., at room temperature and an argon pressure of 0.11 torr, with a discharge current of 2.5 mA.
