μ-tempered metadynamics: Artifact independent convergence times for wide hills [PDF]
Recent analysis of well-tempered metadynamics (WTmetaD) showed that it converges without mollification artifacts in the bias potential. Here, we explore how metadynamics heals mollification artifacts, how healing impacts convergence time, and whether alternative temperings may be used to improve efficiency.

Ultrametricity in the Edwards-Anderson Model [PDF]
We test the property of ultrametricity for the spin glass three-dimensional Edwards-Anderson model in zero magnetic field with numerical simulations up to $20^3$ spins. We find an excellent agreement with the prediction of the mean field theory.

On the detection of Lorentzian profiles in a power spectrum: A Bayesian approach using ignorance priors [PDF]
Aims. Deriving accurate frequencies, amplitudes, and mode lifetimes from stochastically driven pulsation is challenging, more so, if one demands that realistic error estimates be given for all model fitting parameters. As has been shown by other authors,

A Bayesian Periodogram Finds Evidence for Three Planets in 47 Ursae Majoris
A Bayesian analysis of 47 Ursae Majoris (47 UMa) radial velocity data confirms and refines the properties of two previously reported planets with periods of 1079 and 2325 days and finds evidence for an additional long period planet with a period of ...

Certain Caddo Sites in the Ouachita Mountains of Southwestern Arkansas [PDF]
In the last few years, we have had the opportunity to study a number of prehistoric Caddo Indian sites in the Ouachita Mountains of southwestern Arkansas through conducting archeological surveys of more than 2700 acres at three lakes constructed and ...

A Bayesian periodogram finds evidence for three planets in HD 11964
A Bayesian multi-planet Kepler periodogram has been developed for the analysis of precision radial velocity data (Gregory 2005b and 2007). The periodogram employs a parallel tempering Markov chain Monte Carlo algorithm.
