Smart Chaining: Templing and Temple Search

open access: yesIEEE Access
Hash tables continue to be at the forefront of applications that require fast data lookup, but their usefulness in practice depends on effective collision resolution. Classical approaches like chaining (linked lists) and open addressing (linear/quadratic/random probing) have inherent challenges, like chaining degrades with increasing lists, whereas ...

Trions as Fundamental Species in Chemically Doped Polymer Semiconductors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work shows that exciton–charge carrier coupling in doped polymer semiconductors gives rise to multi‐particle states, including trions—quasiparticles consisting of two holes and one electron under p‐doping—and bound exciton‐hole pairs, as identified through spectroscopic and theoretical analysis.

UCST‐Driven Shape Morphing in Digital Light Processing 4D‐Printed Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A DLP‐printable UCST hydrogel based on poly(acrylic acid‐co‐acrylamide) enables reversible thermally induced expansion and 4D shape morphing. Rational control of composition, porosity, and multimaterial architecture enables predictable 4D shape morphing through differential swelling and localized actuation, opening new opportunities for high‐resolution

Creation in the Old Testament

open access: yesSt Andrews Encyclopaedia of Theology, 2022
Creation in the Old Testament (or Hebrew Bible) is not limited to the first two creation accounts in Genesis (1:1–2:3; 2:4b–3:24). It is a widespread theme featured not only in Genesis but also in the Psalms, the Prophets, and the Wisdom literature. This

The Animated Temple and Its Agency in the Urban Life of the City in Ancient Mesopotamia Beate Pongratz-Leisten, NYU, ISAW

open access: yesReligions, 2021
In ancient Mesopotamia, the functions of the temple were manifold. It could operate as an administrative center, as a center of learning, as a place of jurisdiction, as a center for healing, and as an economic institution, as indicated in both textual ...

Tropomyosin 1 Promotes Platelet Adhesion and Clot Contraction Separate from Its Roles in Developmental Hematopoiesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Genome‐wide association studies (GWAS) link the Tropomyosin 1 (Tpm1) locus to quantitative blood trait variation, but related mechanisms are unclear. Tpm1 encodes an actin‐binding protein that regulates actin filament diversity, cell adhesion, signaling, and actomyosin contractility.

Architecture and Christian Theology

open access: yesSt Andrews Encyclopaedia of Theology, 2023
There is an obvious convergence, in the spaces used for Christian worship, between the practice of architecture and the concerns of Christian theology. Even the most utilitarian of spaces – an old warehouse, a community hall, a converted office building –

Kuningavõim ja kuninglik templipoliitika Sumeris ja Akkadis 2500–2154 eKr [PDF]

open access: yesMäetagused, 2015
In this article, the author has raised a few questions concerned with the relations of rulers and temples: temple politics of the rulers of the Late Presargonic period (the Early Dynastic III, ca. 2500–2335 BCE) and the Sargonic period (2334–2154 BCE) in

Earthen Temples

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2019
Religion and faith have accompanied man since the dawn of history. Over time, these two factors gave rise to the need to establish permanent places of worship, which could provide both shelter from the elements during increasingly elaborate rituals and express the important status of said rituals to the community that erected such edifices.
