Multi‐scale Engineered Vasculature and Hierarchical Porosity via Volumetric Bioprinting‐Guided Photopolymerization‐Induced Phase Separation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Vascularization in bioprinted hydrogels is limited by nanoscale porosity in hydrogel bionks. Volumetric bioprinting of gelatin–norbornene phase‐separating hydrogels permits to create centimeter‐scale constructs featuring interconnected multi‐scale porosity. Light dose gradients result in spatially controlled pore dimensions. Capillary‐scale vessels are

FLIP: Transforming Consumer Projectors into Maskless Microscale Photopatterning Tools via Fresnel Lens Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A low‐cost, maskless visible light photopatterning system has been developed by combining a consumer‐grade projector with a single Fresnel lens, generating the Fresnel Lens Integrated Projector (FLIP) system. FLIP enables flexible photopatterning of solid and gel films with features down to 30 µm and 135 µm, respectively.

Near‐Infrared Lifetime Nanothermometry Detects Microwave‐Induced Brain Heating

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Ag2S near‐infrared lifetime nanothermometers enable remote, minimally invasive readout of absolute brain temperature in vivo during telecommunication‐grade 3 GHz microwave exposure. Temperature‐dependent luminescence decay tracks real‐time heating in deep tissue, revealing rises approaching 4 °C and allowing systematic assessment of exposure parameters,
