Cavity-enhanced and temporally multiplexed atom-photon entanglement interface
Practical realization of quantum repeaters requires quantum memories with high retrieval efficiency, multi-mode storage capacities, and long lifetimes. Here, we report a high-retrieval-efficiency and temporally multiplexed atom-photon entanglement source. A train of 12 write pulses in time is applied to a cold atomic ensemble along different directions,

Entanglement of Temporal Sections as Quantum Histories and Their Quantum Correlation Bounds
In this paper, we focus on the underlying quantum structure of temporal correlations and show their peculiar nature which differentiates them from spatial quantum correlations.

Stabilizing two-qubit entanglement by mimicking a squeezed environment
It is well known that qubits immersed in a squeezed vacuum environment exhibit many exotic phenomena, including dissipative entanglement stabilization. Here we show that these effects only require interference between excitation and decay processes, and ...

Entanglement of unstable atoms: modifications of the emission properties [PDF]
We analyse the influence of entanglement on the emission properties of atoms. To this end, first, we propose a scheme for the preparation of a pair of entangled Helium atoms, one in the ortho and the other in the para spin configuration.

Quantum entanglement and disentanglement of multi-atom systems
We present a review of recent research on quantum entanglement, with special emphasis on entanglement between single atoms, processing of an encoded entanglement and its temporary evolution.

Temporal entanglement barriers in dual-unitary Clifford circuits with measurements
We study temporal entanglement in dual-unitary Clifford circuits with probabilistic measurements preserving spatial unitarity. We exactly characterize the temporal entanglement barrier in the measurement-free regime, exhibiting ballistic growth and decay

Competition between shear banding and wall slip in wormlike micelles [PDF]
The interplay between shear band (SB) formation and boundary conditions (BC) is investigated in wormlike micellar systems (CPyCl--NaSal) using ultrasonic velocimetry coupled to standard rheology in Couette geometry.

Inducing Disallowed Two-Atom Transitions with Temporally Entangled Photons [PDF]
Two uncoupled two-level atoms cannot be jointly excited by classical light under general circumstances, due to destructive interference of excitation pathways in two-photon absorption. However, with temporally entangled light, two-atom excitation is shown possible.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
