Temporal utopianism and global information networks [PDF]
In the late nineteenth century western circumnavigation of the globe and ever more accurate cartography shifted the utopian genre from the spatial to the temporal – humans’ mastery of place and space developed in contradistinction to their inability to ...

Low-Complexity Hyperbolic Embedding Schemes for Temporal Complex Networks
Hyperbolic embedding can effectively preserve the property of complex networks. Though some state-of-the-art hyperbolic node embedding approaches are proposed, most of them are still not well suited for the dynamic evolution process of temporal complex ...

Foreword: Time and Temporality as Categories of Connectedness
Time and temporality need to be considered essential concepts when studying networks of the past. Their implementation, however, introduces varying forms of complexity, which provides challenges to navigate when operationalized as attributes of ...

Access Controlled Temporal Networks
We define Access-Controlled Temporal Networks (ACTNs) as an extension of Conditional Simple Temporal Networks with Uncertainty (CSTNUs). CSTNUs are able to handle features such as contingent durations and conditional constraints, and have thus been used to model the temporal constraints of workflows underlying business processes.

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

We propose the Clustered Link-Prediction SEIRS model with Temporal Node Activation (CLP-SEIRS-T), a novel epidemiological framework that integrates community structure, link prediction, and temporal activation schedules to simulate malware propagation in

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Play-by-Play Network Analysis in Football
This study identifies dominant and intermediary players in football by applying a play-by-play social network analysis (SNA) on 70 professional matches from the 1. and 2. German Bundesliga during the 2017/2018 season. SNA provides a quantification of the

Agile Controllability of Simple Temporal Networks with Uncertainty and Oracles [PDF]
Simple temporal networks with uncertainty (STNUs) have achieved wide attention and are the basis of many applications requiring the representation of temporal constraints and checking whether they are conflicting. Dynamic controllability is currently the
