Location‐Specific Hematoma Volume Predicts Early Neurological Deterioration in Supratentorial ICH
ABSTRACT Objective Early neurological deterioration (END) adversely affects outcomes in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). This study aimed to determine the location‐specific hematoma volumes for END in supratentorial ICH patients. Methods We retrospectively analyzed supratentorial ICH patients presenting from two prospective cohorts.

Since Simple Temporal Networks (STNs) were first introduced in 1991, there have been numerous theoretic and algorithmic advances that have made them practical for a wide variety of applications. However, the presentation of most of the important advances

ABSTRACT Objective To explore how cerebral hypoxia and Normal‐Appearing White Matter (NAWM) integrity affect MS lesion burden and clinical course. Methods Seventy‐nine MS patients, including 13 clinically isolated syndrome (CIS) patients and 66 relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) patients, and 44 healthy controls (HCs) were recruited from ...

A Depolarizing Leak in Sodium Bicarbonate Cotransporter NBCe1 Causes Brain Edema
ABSTRACT Objectives SLC4A4 encodes electrogenic sodium bicarbonate cotransporter NBCe1, prominently expressed in kidney and brain. Recessive loss‐of‐function variants in SLC4A4 cause proximal renal tubular acidosis, no brain edema. In the brain, NBCe1 is expressed by astrocytes, where it regulates pH and mediates astrocyte volume changes.

Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.

Timing in music and temporal logic. [PDF]
'In-time' representations of music in which the time represented is the same time as inhabited by the agent making or using the representation are contrasted with 'out-of-time' representations. Temporal logics with a similar 'in-time' perspective, and in

Unfolding Accessibility Provides a Macroscopic Approach to Temporal Networks
An accessibility graph of a network contains a link wherever there is a path of arbitrary length between two nodes. We generalize the concept of accessibility to temporal networks.

Sound-and-Complete Algorithms for Checking the Dynamic Controllability of Conditional Simple Temporal Networks with Uncertainty [PDF]
A Conditional Simple Temporal Network with Uncertainty (CSTNU) is a data structure for representing and reasoning about time. CSTNUs incorporate observation time-points from Conditional Simple Temporal Networks (CSTNs) and contingent links from Simple ...
