Temporal networks: Characterization, motifs and spreading

International School of Physics “Enrico Fermi”, 2019
Networks as scaffolds of complex systems are intrinsically dynamic: They grow and shrink, split and merge, as well as there are processes taking place on them like spreading phenomena. As long as the time scale of the change of the network is much slower than that of the processes a static network picture is adequate.

Networks in Temporal Lobe Epilepsy

Neurosurgery Clinics of North America, 2020
Temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) is the most common type of drug-resistant focal epilepsy. Epilepsy can be conceptualized as a network disorder with the epileptogenic zone a critical node of the network. Temporal lobe networks can be identified on the microscale and macroscale, both during the interictal and ictal periods.

Gaming Temporal Networks

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2019
Temporal networks are composed of individuals with on-and-off interactions. In the study of human dynamics, a typical interaction is interpreted as a coincidental or forced concurrence of two events. Since human beings’ rationality is bounded, the interaction between sentient individuals is normally investigated under the framework of game theory in ...

Temporal Convolutional Networks

2019
In this chapter, you will learn about temporal convolutional networks (TCNs). You will also learn how TCNs work and how they can be used to detect anomalies and how you can implement anomaly detection using a TCN.

Temporal flows in temporal networks

Journal of Computer and System Sciences, 2019
We introduce temporal flows on temporal networks. We show that one can find the maximum amount of flow that can pass from a source vertex s to a sink vertex t up to a given time in Polynomial time. We provide a static Time-Extended network (TEG) of polynomial size to the input, and show that temporal flows can be decomposed into flows, each moving ...

Discovering metric temporal constraint networks on temporal databases

Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, 2013
In this paper, we propose the ASTPminer algorithm for mining collections of time-stamped sequences to discover frequent temporal patterns, as represented in the simple temporal problem (STP) formalism: a representation of temporal knowledge as a set of event types and a set of metric temporal constraints among them.

Probabilistic Temporal Networks.

1996
Abstract : Complex real-world systems consist of collections of interacting processes/events. These processes change over time in response to both internal and external stimuli as well as to the passage of time itself. Many domains such as real-time systems diagnosis, story understanding, and financial forecasting require the capability to model ...

Temporal networks

2009
Integration of planning and scheduling requires new approaches to the scheduling problem. The scheduler must be able to provide useful information for the planner in order to avoid generation of unfeasible plans. In constraint-based scheduling it is possible to de ne custom ltering rules that improve the solving procedure.
