Temporal Variables in Voice Therapy

Journal of Voice, 2015
This study analyzed temporal voice therapy data (duration and frequency) as reported in the scientific literature between 1975 and May 2013.A PubMed search was conducted using the keywords "voice and therapy" and "therapy and dysphonia," resulting in 93 qualified publications.

Coevolution in Temporally Variable Environments

The American Naturalist, 2003
Many potentially mutualistic interactions are conditional, with selection that varies between mutualism and antagonism over space and time. We develop a genetic model of temporally variable coevolution that incorporates stochastic fluctuations between mutualism and antagonism.

Temporal variability and local adaptation

Trends in Ecology & Evolution, 1996
Gene flow is often regarded as a constraining force because it can counteract selective forces that lead to local adaptationl. Local adaptation (adaptive deme formation) can be studied relatively easily in the context of host-parasite and plant-herbivore interactions through transplant experiment+4.

Towards temporal linguistic variables

10th IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems. (Cat. No.01CH37297), 2002
Although fuzzy logic has been successfully applied in many different problem domains, fuzzy solutions typically structure the problem task as one of static categorisation. This may not be appropriate for dynamic systems, especially where higher-order information is unavailable.

Normal temporal variability of the P100

Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology/Evoked Potentials Section, 1987
Determination of clinically significant temporal changes in P100 latency requires knowledge of the degree of normal intraindividual variability. Checkerboard visual evoked potentials using 3 check sizes (17', 35' and 70') were performed serially on 20 healthy volunteers. Each subject was tested at least twice an average of 6 months apart.

A logic of temporal variables

Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, 1995
Abstract Temporal variables can be used to verify and enforce temporal consistency which is usually essential for safe operation of physical processes and devices. A theory of non-continous intervals is used to represent temporal variables. This results in a set of five axioms which form the foundation for an intuitive, deductive temporal logic.

Temporal variability in population and community dynamics

Ecology, 2021
AbstractPopulations and communities fluctuate in their overall numbers through time, and the magnitude of fluctuations in individual species may scale to communities. However, the composite variability at the community scale is expected to be tempered by opposing fluctuations in individual populations, a phenomenon often called the portfolio effect ...

Temporally Variable Fields

2019
Up to now we have treated only temporally constant electric and magnetic fields. All properties of these static fields caused by resting charges or stationary currents can be derived from a few basic equations (see Chaps. 1– 3).

Neural correlates of temporality: Default mode variability and temporal awareness

Consciousness and Cognition, 2012
The continual background awareness of duration is an essential structure of consciousness, conferring temporal extension to the many objects of awareness within the evanescent sensory present. Seeking the possible neural correlates of ubiquitous temporal awareness, this article reexamines fMRI data from off-task "default mode" (DM) periods in 25 ...
