Modelling of task-oriented vocabularies: an example in fuzzy temporal reasoning
10th IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems. (Cat. No.01CH37297), 2002Two approaches are presented for the modelling of fuzzy operators on fuzzy domains. The approaches are based on crisp definitions that operate onto crisp representatives of the involved fuzzy sets, which are obtained by using bivalued and trivalued level-cuts. Application examples in the field of fuzzy temporal rules-based reasoning are presented.

Rebuilding Visual Vocabulary via Spatial-temporal Context Similarity for Video Retrieval [PDF]
The Bag-of-visual-Words (BovW) model is one of the most popular visual content representation methods for large-scale contentbased video retrieval. The visual words are quantized according to a visual vocabulary, which is generated by a visual features clustering process (e.g. K-means, GMM, etc).

The article deals with the features of reflecting temporal and event related vocabulary of the COVID-19 pandemic period in the lexical corpus of the German language. The empirical base of the study is the electronic dictionary Neuer Wortschatz rund um die Coronapandemie, which allowed to obtain reliable and valid results. The article identifies lexical

Hierarchical Global–Local Fusion for One-stage Open-vocabulary Temporal Action Detection
ACM Transactions on Multimedia Computing, Communications, and ApplicationsOpen-vocabulary Temporal Action Detection (Open-vocab TAD) extends the detection scope of Closed-vocabulary Temporal Action Detection (Closed-vocab TAD) to unseen action classes specified by vocabularies not included in the training data, within untrimmed video.

DTVAD: Dual-Branch Aligned Temporal-Aware Framework for Open-Vocabulary Video Anomaly Detection
Video anomaly detection identifies unusual events in surveillance videos and is crucial for public safety. Recent open-vocabulary video anomaly detection (OVVAD) methods leverage vision-language models to recognize unseen anomaly categories, but they exhibit fundamental limitations.Hanul Kim +4 more
