Integrative Omics Analysis Reveals the Regulation of Hypoxia Tolerance in Large Yellow Croaker (Larimichthys crocea) via the Lipoic Acid Synthase (lias) Gene

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipoic acid synthase (lias) can regulate α‐KG levels through lipoylation, thereby negatively regulating HIF‐1α protein levels via PHD under hypoixa. The Hap2 allele of lias exhibits lower expression levels than Hap1, leading to the accumulation of more HIF‐1α protein and thereby enhancing hypoxia tolerance. ABSTRACT Hypoxia stress seriously affects the

Health problems in the temporary housing in Taiwan

open access: yesHealth, 2013
To understand the health effects of the temporary housing after the September 1999 earthquake in Taiwan, we conducted the object observation, environmental monitoring, questionnaire survey, and disease analysis in both spring and autumn seasons to rate the presence and magnitude of exposures of environmental hazards.

Momentum and mean reversion in regional housing markets: Evidence from variance ratio tests [PDF]

open access: yes
This study adds to the literature on mean aversion and mean reversion in housing prices. In contrast with the previous related literature, the persistence and reversion characteristics are studied by computing variance ratios using Kim's (2006) Wild ...

Deep Learning Network‐Tailored Microenvironment Matching of 4D Bioprinting Bioactive Scaffolds for Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A DLN dataset was built to analyze MABS composition versus in vitro/in vivo osteogenesis and angiogenesis. An MLP neural network, taking BG morphological parameters as input, extracts bioactive features from these datasets. A rabbit tibial defect model then validates 4D‐printed MABS for adaptability and bone regeneration in critical defects.

Semi-Collapsible Temporary Housing for Hurricane Relief and Recovery [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In the wake of a hurricane, relief organizations often provide victims with temporary housing until their original homes are repaired or replaced. Many current temporary housing solutions can accommodate displaced persons for up to one year, but these ...

Current Collector Engineering for New Efficient Bioresorbable Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A bioresorbable Na‐ion battery is proposed with Mo or Mg thin‐film current collectors for temporary implants. Mo‐based batteries exhibit superior electrochemical performance and stable cycling compared with Mg counterparts. XPS was used to investigate the Mo/Mg surface oxidation.
