Acta Odontologica Scandinavica, 1992Glycosaminoglycans in normal and osteoarthrotic temporomandibular joint disks were studied by means of high-performance liquid chromatography methods. Normal disk tissue contains galactosaminoglycans (chondroitin sulfate and dermatan sulfate) as the main polysaccharides and with smaller amounts of hyaluronate and heparan sulfate.
