Giant Cell Tumor of Bone Versus Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumor – Similarities and Differences
International Journal of Surgical Pathology, 2022Giant cell tumor of bone (GCTB) and tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT) share misleadingly similar names, soft texture and brown color macroscopically, osteoclast-like multinucleated giant cells microscopically and localisation in the musculoskeletal system.

Outcomes of Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumor of the Foot and Ankle
Foot & Ankle International, 2023Background: Tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT) is a benign proliferative disease affecting synovial membranes. There are 2 forms, localized (L-TGCT) and diffuse (D-TGCT), which although histologically similar behave differently. It is locally invasive and is treated in most cases by operative excision. The aim

Targeting the colony-stimulating factor 1 axis for the treatment of Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumors
International audienceDiffuse and Localized Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumors (D-/L-TGCT) are two closely related forms of benign tumors of the joint characterized by uncontrolled macrophage infiltration and proliferation.

Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumor of the Clinoid: Rare Condition
World Neurosurgery, 2018A tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT) is a rare type of tumor that primarily arises from the tendon sheath, synovium, and bursae. In rare cases, these tumors can affect joints of the head and neck such as the temporomandibular joint. This is the only case to our knowledge of an intracranial TGCT tumor of the clinoid. We present the case of a 25-year ...

Diffuse Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumor
2020Diffuse tenosynovial giant cell tumor (DTGCT) is a locally aggressive tumor arising from the synovium of joints, bursae, and tendon sheaths. Along with the localized form, it is one of the two subtypes of tenosynovial giant cell tumor (→ see Chap. 156).

Diffuse type tenosynovial giant cell tumor of the ankle
Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association, 1993The case presented was of a tenosynovial giant cell tumor, diffuse type. The lesion had an apparent communication with the talonavicular joint, as well as a possible communication with the ankle joint. The inevitable morbidity, as well as the lack of an intraoperative definitive diagnosis, prevented a more radical excision of the lesion.

Tenosynovial giant-cell tumor of the cervical spine
Journal of Neurosurgery, 1992✓ A case of tenosynovial giant-cell tumor affecting the cervical spine is reported. The lesion is seen primarily in the fingers, knee, or ankle, and there are no previous reports of it occurring in the spine. The histological and radiological features of this tumor are discussed along with a brief description of the disease entity.

Tenosynovial giant cell tumor of the posterior arch of C1
Skeletal Radiology, 2008Tenosynovial giant cell tumor, also called pigmented villonodular synovitis, is a disease typically of the joints and which uncommonly involves the spine. We present a case of a mass of the posterior C1 arch which eroded bone and did not arise from the facet joint. The imaging findings of spinal tenosynovial giant cell tumor will be reviewed as well as
