The politics of police accountability seemed very different only twenty years ago, In the context of the drift into a ‘law and order’ state, a polyphony of complaints about policing practices and decision-making processes formed into a full-blooded political debate about how and to whom the police might be held democratically accountable. In Parliament,

Abstract This chapter addresses some of the most striking and interesting problems and questions related to tense and aspect in Romance. It covers the distribution of most widespread temporal and aspectual grammaticalized distinctions, including the expression of perfective past, future and future in the past; auxiliary constructions ...

Neither question (1) nor question (2) posed on page 446 have been adequately answered in this paper. Regarding (1) we have merely given functor maps onto the object languages of physical theories and regarding (2) we have merely described the algebraic structure of observables. A more satisfactory treatment will most likely involve (1) a generalization

In standard tense logic, tenses are defined linguistically as operator combinations in a Prior-type language. Here, however, tenses are studied as unary operations on sets of reals. Ordinary mathematical conditions (such as automorphism invariance, continuity) are then used to classify natural tenses.
