Tensile and Tearing Strength Properties of Printed Cotton Fabric Using Warp Yarn Printing Technique

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2016
Warp yarn of cotton samples were printed with pigment dyes has been investigated. The printed warp yarn was weaved by using white cotton yarn as a weft yarn. The physical properties were evaluated to testing in tensile strength and tearing strength of weaved samples, the test were determined according to ISO standard.

Effect of glass filler size on the tensile properties and tear strength of polybutadiene

Journal of Polymer Science: Polymer Physics Edition, 1982
AbstractAn experimental study of the tensile properties, tear strength, hysteresis, and swelling ratio of model composite elastomeric compounds consisting of polybutadiene filled with glass beads has been carried out as a function of the size of the beads.

The effect of γ-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane coupling agent on t90, tensile strength and tear strength of silica-filled ENR vulcanisates

European Polymer Journal, 1989
Abstract The cure times (t90), tensile strengths and tear strengths of silica-filled epoxidised natural rubber (ENR), with or without the presence of γ-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane (A-189) and bis(triethoxysilylpropyl) tetrasulphide (Si-69) and cure using a semi-efficient vulcanisation (semi-EV system) were studied.

Cure and Mechanical Behavior of Rubber Compounds Containing Ground Vulcanizates: Part III. Tensile and Tear Strength

Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1999
Abstract A black-filled styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) vulcanizate was ambiently ground, then used as an additive to the original, uncured compound. Sheets of the resulting composite (matrix/ground rubber particulate) were cured, and tensile and trouser tear strength determined.

Relationship of Tensile and Tear Strengths of Fabrics to Component Yarn Properties

1970
Abstract : The investigation was conducted on six selected fabrics to determine the relationship of breaking load, elongation and tear strength of fabrics to the properties of the component yarns. A system for expressing fabric properties as ratios of the contributing yarn properties was developed.

Effect of γ-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane coupling agent on t90, tensile strength and tear strength of silica-filled NR, NBR and SBR vulcanizates

European Polymer Journal, 1988
Abstract A study has been made of the cure times (t90), the tensile strengths and the tear strengths of silica-filled NR, NBR and SBR, with and without the presence of γ-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane, (MPTS) and cured using the semi-efficient vulcanization system (semi-EV). Mixing was done using a Brabender Plasti-corder having a mixing cam attached

Effect of network heterogeneity on tensile and tear strengths of radiation, peroxide, efficient and conventional cured polyisoprene

Journal of Polymer Science Part B: Polymer Physics, 1994
AbstractAt any given crosslink density, the ultimate tensile and tear strengths of vulcanizates depend on the curing system and decrease in the order: conventional (CV) > efficient (EV) > peroxide > radiation cured. Measurements on three network parameters were interpreted as indicating that crosslinks were not uniformly distributed throughout

Effect of Filler Dispersion on Tensile Strength and Tearing Energy of Natural Rubber (NR) Latex Films

Advanced Materials Research, 2015
Fillers play important roles in enhancing mechanical properties of NR latex films. The effect of filler dispersion and amount of dispersing agent to the tensile strength and tearing energy of NR latex films were investigated in this study. The studies were carried out by (i) varying the amount of dispersing agent (Anchoid) added which is an anionic ...
