Applying Differential Privacy to Tensor Completion

open access: yesICASSP 2022 - 2022 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2022
Tensor completion aims at filling the missing or unobserved entries based on partially observed tensors. However, utilization of the observed tensors often raises serious privacy concerns in many practical scenarios. To address this issue, we propose a solid and unified framework that contains several approaches for applying differential privacy to the

Innovative Processing of Compacted Waste Aluminum Alloy Powders via Controlled Remelting and Solidification

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates an efficient recycling route for out‐of‐spec AlSi10Mg atomized powders through compaction and arc remelting followed by suction casting. By correlating compaction load, cooling rate, and resulting microstructure, we show that intermediate pressures (50–80 kN) and rapid cooling refine dendrites, reduce porosity, and enhance ...

Tensor Completion Using Spectral $(k,p)$ -Support Norm

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
In this paper, the goal is to reconstruct a tensor, i.e., a multi-dimensional array, when only subsets of its entries are observed. For well-posedness, the tensor is assumed to have a low-Tucker-rank structure.

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...

Complete solution of a gauged tensor model [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics, 2019
Building on a strategy introduced in arXiv:1706.05364, we present exact analytic expressions for all the singlet eigenstates and eigenvalues of the simplest non-linear ($n=2, d=3$) gauged Gurau-Witten tensor model. This solves the theory completely. The ground state eigenvalue is $-2\sqrt{14}$ in suitable conventions.

Tensor Train Completion from Fiberwise Observations Along a Single Mode

open access: yesMathematics
Tensor completion is an extension of matrix completion aimed at recovering a multiway data tensor by leveraging a given subset of its entries (observations) and the pattern of observation.

A Numerical–Experimental Approach for Multi‐Matrix Fiber‐Reinforced Plastics Characterization Using Finite Element Model Updating

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

Scalar–tensor baryogenesis: a scalar–tensor completion of gravitational baryogenesis

open access: yesPhysics Letters B
We propose Scalar–Tensor Baryogenesis (STB), in which the CP-violating bias needed for baryogenesis is sourced by the gravitational scalars that appear in scalar–tensor representations of modified gravity.

Oxide‐Free Titanium Coatings by Wire Arc Spraying in a Silane‐Doped Inert Atmosphere

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A silane‐doped argon atmosphere enables the production of oxide‐free titanium coatings via twin‐wire arc spraying at ambient pressure. This innovative approach eliminates residual oxygen, creating process conditions that prevent oxidation and nitride formation.
