Biologically‐Inspired Melt Electrowriting for the Generation of Highly Biomimetic Functional Myocardium

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, melt electrowriting is used to fabricate a 3D printed scaffold design that generates engineered cardiac tissues with in‐plane contraction, mimicking natural myocardium. It is shown that these tissues display advanced maturation and functionality.

Higher-order Galilean contractions

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2019
A Galilean contraction is a way to construct Galilean conformal algebras from a pair of infinite-dimensional conformal algebras, or equivalently, a method for contracting tensor products of vertex algebras.

Bi‐Directional Assembly of Boron Nitride µ‐Platelets by Micro‐Molding for Advanced Thermal Interface Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Bi‐directionally assembled BN µ‐platelets in micropatterns formed by a micro‐molding method for thermal interface materials are demonstrated. The BN µ‐platelets are vertically aligned selectively, while compressed regions without patterns accommodate horizontally assembled BN µ‐platelets. Through anisotropic orientation, high thermal conductivities for

Tensor-Network Decoding Beyond 2D

open access: yesPRX Quantum
Decoding algorithms based on approximate tensor-network (TN) contraction have proven tremendously successful in decoding two-dimensional (2D) local quantum codes such as toric or surface codes and color codes, effectively achieving optimal decoding ...

All‐Cellulose‐Based Photonic Glitters

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Uniform, disc‐shaped photonic CNC glitters with adjustable structural colors and diameters are fabricated on hydrophilic ethyl cellulose films using electrospray deposition. By employing patterned ethyl cellulose films with pre‐designed hydrophilic regions, photonic patterns can be created with these all‐cellulose‐based glitters, demonstrating their ...
