Simulation of Limited Entangled Quantum Fourier Transform Based on Matrix Product State [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji kexue
Unlike classical computing, qubits in quantum computing can be in the superposition state and entangled state can be formed between multiple qubits.Representing a quantum state composed of n qubits requires storing 2 to the nth power amplitudes. The ...

Multi-graded Galilean conformal algebras

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2020
Galilean conformal algebras can be constructed by contracting a finite number of conformal algebras, and enjoy truncated Z-graded structures. Here, we present a generalisation of the Galilean contraction procedure, giving rise to Galilean conformal ...

Evaluation of the Potential of Laser Shock Peening Compared with Cold Expansion for Improving Fatigue Resistance of Riveted Lap Joints of Aerospace Grade 7175 Al Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates laser shock peening for enhancing fatigue performance of riveted aerospace aluminum joints. A comparative approach with cold expansion combines fatigue testing and synchrotron X‐ray methods. Integrating mechanical testing with residual stress and strain characterization provides insights into how different treatments affect the ...

X‐Ray Tomography Analysis of Damage Mechanisms in Metal Matrix Syntactic Foams During Compression

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In situ synchrotron X‐ray tomography is used to investigate the internal damage mechanisms of AlSi12 metal matrix syntactic foam with ceramic hollow spheres during compressive loading. It is concluded that a homogeneous distribution of the second‐phase filler material results in a sequential collapse in a localized region; this leads to controlled and ...

Early evolution of fully convective stars in scalar–tensor gravity

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2023
In this work, the early evolution of low-mass fully convective stars is studied in the context of DHOST (degenerate higher order scalar-tensor) theories of gravity.

Interactions between Molten High‐Silicon Electrical Steels and Carbon‐Bonded MgO Refractories Based on Recyclates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines how several molten high‐silicon electrical steels interact with both conventional and recycled MgO–C refractories. For this, various immersion experiments are conducted. In addition to infiltration, a number of mechanisms are identified and explained that control the corrosion of the refractory material.

Parameterization of tensor network contraction

open access: yes, 2019
We present a conceptually clear and algorithmically useful framework for parameterizing the costs of tensor network contraction. Our framework is completely general, applying to tensor networks with arbitrary bond dimensions, open legs, and hyperedges.

Hybrid Auxetic Architectures: Integrating Curvature‐Driven Design for Enhanced Mechanical Tunability and Structural Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Curvature‐tuned auxetic lattices are designed, fabricated, and mechanically characterized to reveal how geometric curvature governs stretchability, stress redistribution, and Poisson's ratio evolution. Photoelastic experiments visualize stress pathways, while hyperelastic simulations quantify deformation mechanics.

Unifying projected entangled pair state contractions

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2014
The approximate contraction of a tensor network of projected entangled pair states (PEPS) is a fundamental ingredient of any PEPS algorithm, required for the optimization of the tensors in ground state search or time evolution, as well as for the ...
