This study introduces an approach for creating liquid‐like slippery surfaces (LLS) on various substrates. An epoxy‐silicon (EpSi) coating is applied, plasma‐activated, and immersed in an organosilane solution, forming siloxane chains. The resulting LLS exhibits ultra‐low ice adhesion, high transparency, self‐cleaning, and anti‐staining properties ...

This work presents a systematic characterization of an emerging polymer platform, off‐stoichiometry thiol‐ene, in terms of its ability to support the formation, growth, and metabolic activity of Staphylococcus aureus biofilms. The findings indicate that thiol‐enes promote S.

Even Order Pascal Tensors are Positive Definite [PDF]
In this paper, we show that even order Pascal tensors are positive definite, and odd order Pascal tensors are strongly completely positive. The significance of these is that our induction proof method also holds for some other families of completely positives tensors, whose construction satisfies certain rules, such an inherence property holds. We show

Ultra‐Flexible µ‐ECoG Arrays Based on PEDOT:PSS Micropillars
This work demonstrates an efficient procedure for fabricating ultra‐flexible neural interfaces endowed with micropatterned microelectrodes to increase surface area and characterized by extremely low impedance values to enable high‐quality recordings. The home‐built device has been shown to record somatosensory evoked potentials in vivo with exceptional

In this work, a methodology is presented for the design, fabrication and characterization of soft–hard interfaces consisting of extremely soft hydrogel biomaterials, and much harder rigid polymeric biomaterials. This approach enables the production of interfaces with performances close to predicted values, with applications in biomaterial fabrication ...

Strongly Positive Semi-Definite Tensors and Strongly SOS Tensors [PDF]
We introduce {odd-order} strongly PSD (positive semi-definite) tensors which map real vectors to nonnegative vectors. We then introduce odd-order strongly SOS (sum-of-squares) tensors. A strongly SOS tensor maps real vectors to nonnegative vectors whose components are all SOS polynomials. Strongly SOS tensors are strongly PSD tensors.

The robust electrochemical sustainability of additively manufactured high‐performance nanocomposites is substantially dependent on overcoming material selection, process optimization, operational scalability, and design flexibility challenges. Integrating transition metal dichalcogenides into metal‐matrix composites, laser powder bed fusion directly ...

Streamlined Inkjet‐Printing of Stretchable Organic Photodetectors
This work introduces stretchable photodetectors fully inkjet‐printed on stretchable substrates. It is demonstrated that printed stiff platforms effectively decouple strain from the stretched substrate and serve as a chemically resistant and mechanically rigid platform.
