Control of Open Quantum Systems via Dynamical Invariants

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 9, Issue 2, February 2026.
Dynamical invariants are used to reverse‐engineer control fields for open quantum systems described by time‐dependent Lindblad master equations. By minimizing an analytic leakage functional, the protocol dynamically steers the state along an effectively decoherence‐free path without costly iterative propagation.

A Tutorial on Optimal Dynamic Treatment Regimes

open access: yesStatistics in Medicine, Volume 45, Issue 3-5, February 2026.
ABSTRACT A dynamic treatment regime (DTR) is a sequence of treatment decision rules tailored to an individual's evolving status over time. In precision medicine, much focus has been placed on finding an optimal DTR which, if followed by everyone in the population, would yield the best outcome on average; and extensive investigations have been conducted

Models in Decision‐Making Under Risk and Uncertainty

open access: yesJournal of Economic Surveys, Volume 40, Issue 1, Page 304-320, February 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper systematically compares dominant frameworks for modeling decision‐making under risk and uncertainty, evaluating their theoretical trade‐offs and practical relevance for economic research. We establish key criteria for model selection—including predictive accuracy, descriptive realism, computational tractability, and ecological ...

Interpreting convolutional neural networks' low-dimensional approximation to quantum spin systems

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have been employed along with variational Monte Carlo methods for finding the ground state of quantum many-body spin systems with great success.

Temporal Wormholes From Temporal Quantum Correlations

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics
Recent developments in quantum theory suggest a unified treatment of space and time, where spatial and temporal correlations can be regarded as equivalent.

Categories in Control

open access: yes, 2015
Control theory uses "signal-flow diagrams" to describe processes where real-valued functions of time are added, multiplied by scalars, differentiated and integrated, duplicated and deleted.
