A multilayered regulatory framework linking cell wall remodelling, redox homeostasis, and metabolic plasticity during leaf development in Arabidopsis thaliana

open access: yesAnnals of Applied Biology, Volume 189, Issue 1, July 2026.
This study proposes a three‐layered regulatory model illustrating the transition from cell wall remodelling to redox homeostasis during leaf maturation. The model integrates structural extensibility (CESA8, XTH15), redox‐metabolic balancing (AOX1A), and transcriptional feedback mediated by NAC13.

Stimuli‐responsive photoluminescent copper(I) halides for scintillation, anticounterfeiting, and light‐emitting diode applications

open access: yesAggregate
Highly sensitive stimuli‐responsive luminescent materials are crucial for applications in optical sensing, security, and anticounterfeiting. Here, we report two zero‐dimensional (0D) copper(I) halides, (TEP)2Cu2Br4, (TEP)2Cu4Br6, and 1D (TEP)3Ag6Br9 ...

Electrolyte Engineering in Aqueous Zinc‐Ion Batteries: From Solvation Chemistry to Interface Stabilization

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 12, 17 June 2026.
This review summarizes recent progress in electrolyte engineering for aqueous zinc‐ion batteries. It focuses on solvation chemistry regulation and interfacial stabilization. Strategies including solvent regulation, electrolyte salt, functional additives, and composite electrolytes are discussed. These approaches help suppress side reactions and improve

A long-term study on recurrence, chronic pain, and quality of life in obese patients with groin hernia undergoing laparoscopic total extraperitoneal hernia repair: Comparison between mesh fixation and nonfixation techniques

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Bioallied Sciences
Introduction: “Laparoscopic Total Extraperitoneal (TEP)” repair of hernia is a common surgical procedure for treating groin hernias. This study focused on the long-standing assessment of “quality of life (QoL),” chronic pain, and recurrence to compare ...

Toward Stable Multivalent Metal Batteries: Understanding the Interfacial Chemistry for Magnesium and Calcium Metal Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 45, 5 June 2026.
Interphase chemistry governs the stability of multivalent metal batteries. We summarize state‐of‐the‐art developments in calcium and magnesium metal batteries by focusing on the correlation among electrolytes, interphase layers, and the electrochemical performance of corresponding metal anodes.

Mapping cross‐domain drivers of Alzheimer's disease risk through integrated network analysis

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a complex neurodegenerative disorder with numerous known risk factors. Identification of which genetic factors are causal drivers is difficult due to the long disease prodrome in an inaccessible organ.

Heterogenous Model of Temozolomide Resistance in Glioblastoma Reveals Phenotypic Shifts in Drug Response and Migratory Potential

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, Volume 6, Issue 6, June 2026.
Glioblastoma mortality is driven by cell invasion and therapeutic resistance. We report a cancer engineering approach to evaluate the behavior of heterogeneous cohorts of temozolomide resistant and responsive GBM cells. We show the effect of physiologically‐relevant metronomic dosing on ensemble drug response and invasion.

State‐Guided TMS‐EEG for N100 Enhancement Study Based on Whole‐Brain EEG Microstates

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 6, June 2026.
This study proposes a whole‐brain, state‐guided TMS‐EEG framework to enhance the TMS‐evoked N100, with the most evident effect observed for peak N100 TEP amplitude and detectable effects in GMFA and LMFA. This pattern was retained in 64‐, 32‐, and 21‐channel montages, while a similar trend was preserved in the 9‐channel configuration.

A Stochastic and Security‐Constrained Transmission Expansion Planning Framework Incorporating Correlated Wind–Load Uncertainties and Renewable Generation Variability

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 6, June 2026.
This study presents a stochastic and security‐constrained transmission expansion planning framework that incorporates correlated wind–load uncertainties using the DWP–RSS model and evaluates N − 1 contingencies. The proposed Benders‐based methodology enhances reliability and provides cost‐efficient and resilient grid reinforcement decisions.
