A Reclassification of the Dacini (Tephritidae-Diptera)1
Annals of the Entomological Society of America, 1955As I have indicated in various publications on the Dacini, I cannot agree with the generic concepts which have been followed by most of the workers on this group. I prefer not to base genera upon secondary sexual characters, unless accompanied by ample supporting characters, preferably common to both sexes.

An annotated checklist of fruit flies (Diptera: Tephritidae) of Iran
Zootaxa, 2018Based on data published before August 31, 2017 a checklist of the family Tephritidae (Diptera) includes 152 species and subspecies in 41 genera and three subfamilies. The population dynamics of Tephritidae that inhabit flowerheads
1998The Tephritidae contains about 4500 species of small- to medium-size acalypterate flies distributed widely across all Zoogeographic regions of the world (Foote, 1984). With few exceptions, the larvae are phytophagous and feed inside specific plant structures, such as flowers, leaves, stems, roots or fruit.

Türkiye’nin Tephritidae (Diptera) Türleri
2012The family Tephritidae of the order Diptera with a large number of species has a worldwide distribution area. Tephritidae is mostly known with the species making economically damage on some fruits. The larvae of species belonging to this family are called “Fruit flies” due to generally their feeding on fruits of cultivated and wild plants.

Phylogenetic Relationships among Higher Groups of Tephritidae
1999A previous chapter (Korneyev, Chapter 1) presented the ground plan of the superfamily Tephritoidea and its main phylogenetic clusters, including the family Tephritidae. It was hypothesized that the family Pyrgotidae is the sister group of the Tephritidae, and that the latter family must be expanded to incorporate the Tachiniscidae which actually are ...
