Interface Engineering in Piezoelectric‐on‐Insulator Platforms: Coupling of Electrons, Photons, and Phonons for Multifunctional Integration

open access: yesElectron, EarlyView.
The underlying interface physics and engineering strategies across key POI material systems, including LiNbO3/Si, LiNbO3/SiC, LiNbO3/diamond, and AlN/diamond, were reviewed. The key engineering strategies such as atomic‐scale bonding optimization, nanostructuring, ultrathin phonon‐bridge interlayers, and ferroelectric domain wall engineering for ...

Wood‐Derived 3D Conductive Cellular Bio‐C@YB2C2 Ceramics for Efficient Electromagnetic Shielding and Joule Heating

open access: yesElectron, EarlyView.
Herein, a biomimetic, anisotropic, robust wood‐derived 3D conductive Bio‐C@YB2C2 framework was synthesized by in situ boron/carbon thermal reduction reaction on the carbonized wood template. The as‐obtained Bio‐C@YB2C2 composites accurately inherit the specific microstructure of natural wood, providing pathways for terahertz wave dissipation.

Musical Chemistry and Spectroscopy: Analogies Bridging Two Worlds in Multiple Dimensions

open access: yesHelvetica Chimica Acta, EarlyView.
Music and spectroscopy speak the same language: that of fluctuations, line shapes, and ensembles. Herein, we establish useful analogies between music, chemistry, and spectroscopy, extending even to multidimensional and time‐resolved spectroscopies, with a mathematically‐grounded derivation and motivation.

Overcoming spectral limits of perovskite photodetectors for the infrared region

open access: yesInfoScience, EarlyView.
Infrared (IR) photodetectors are vital for modern optoelectronics, but traditional inorganic semiconductors face limitations in cost, processing, and bandgap tunability. This review provides a summary of advanced strategies to extend metal halide perovskites into the IR region, categorizing approaches into intrinsic material engineering, physical ...

Endohedral fullerenes as qubits: From synthesis to quantum computing applications

open access: yesInfoMat, EarlyView.
Endohedral fullerenes emerge as promising platforms for qubits and qudits. This review surveys the primary synthesis routes, from arc‐discharge to high‐yield molecular surgery. It then details spin manipulation and readout in key systems, including metal‐based, cluster, and nitrogen‐containing fullerenes.
