An analytical model for terahertz detection in cylindrical surrounding-gate MOSFETs

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
An analytical model for detection of terahertz radiation by plasma wave in cylindrical surrounding-gate (SRG) MOSFETs is presented. In comparison with traditional drain-current models, the rectification response of terahertz signal due to current self ...

Development of a Zero-Bias Detector Based on T-Type Structure

open access: yesIEEE Access
The detector plays a crucial role in terahertz (THz) receiving systems, converting weak high-frequency signals into low-frequency or direct current signals that are easier to process. This paper proposes a zero-bias Schottky diode THz detector based on a

Preparation of room temperature terahertz detector with lithium tantalate crystal and thin film

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2014
Research on room temperature terahertz (THz) detector is essential for promoting the application of THz science and technology. Both lithium tantalate crystal (LiTaO3) and lithium tantalate thin film were used to fabricate the THz detector in this paper.

All-Dielectric Meta-lens Designed for Photoconductive Terahertz Antennas

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2017
We present an all-dielectric meta-lens designed to collimate terahertz waves emitted from a terahertz antenna. The meta-lens is not only thinner than a conventional bulk silicon lens, but also promises to eliminate the use of parabolic mirrors in a ...

Measurements of the time-jitter of coherent terahertz synchrotron radiation with a superconducting detector [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We have applied an ultrafast superconducting YBa2Cu3O7-δ (YBCO) detector to study the time jitter of the propagating electron bunches in a synchrotron. The jitter was determined from the coherent terahertz (THz) synchrotron radiation (CSR)

Probing Live PN Junctions with Terahertz Waves

open access: yes, 2023
It is known that the reflectivity of semiconductor materials at terahertz frequencies is sensitive to changes in free carriers. This phenomenon has been rigorously studied with semiconductor wafers and offline semiconductor devices.

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

A 220-to 299-GHz CMOS Terahertz Detector

open access: yes, 2019
This paper proposes a terahertz (THz) detector in a 180-nm standard CMOS process. The detector consists of a square loop antenna and an NMOS transistor. The antenna has two feed ports.

Large Area Flexible Thin Layer Terahertz Detector

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, 2023
Due to the low photon energy in the relevant frequency band, fewer materials can directly excite carriers, and an extreme lack of high‐performance, large‐area detectors, limit the promotion, and development of 6G technology.
