Term Birth Weight and Neurodevelopmental Outcomes
Epidemiology, 2021Background: Preterm birth is an important risk factor for neurodevelopmental disabilities. The vast majority of these disabilities occur, however, among term births. The role of fetal growth restriction specifically among term babies has been incompletely described.

Refining term weights of documents using term dependencies
Proceedings of the 27th annual international ACM SIGIR conference on Research and development in information retrieval, 2004When processing raw documents in Information Retrieval (IR) System, a term-weighting scheme is used to calculate the importance of each term which occurs in a document. However, most term-weighting schemes assume that a term is independent of the other terms. Term dependency is an indispensable consequence of language use [1].

Semantic term weighting for clinical texts
Expert Systems with Applications, 2018Abstract Term weighting is an essential step to process textual data and generate input data (vector) for machine learning algorithms. In order to appropriately represent documents into computable forms for a certain task (such as text classification, clustering, sentiment analysis, recommendation and information retrieval), semantic term weighting ...

Effective Term Weighting for Sentence Retrieval
2010A well-known challenge of information retrieval is how to infer a user's underlying information need when the input query consists of only a few keywords. Question Answering (QA) systems face an equally important but opposite challenge: given a verbose question, how can the system infer the relative importance of terms in order to differentiate the ...

Supervised term weighting for sentiment analysis
Proceedings of 2011 IEEE International Conference on Intelligence and Security Informatics, 2011Vector space text classification is commonly used in intelligence applications such as email and conversation analysis. In this paper we propose a supervised term weighting scheme called tƒ × KL (term frequency Kullback-Leibler), which weights each word proportionally to the ratio of its document frequency across the positive and negative class.

Long-term prediction of birth weight
Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, 1993On the basis of the hypothesis that undisturbed individual growth in fetal life keeps a constant proportional difference with the standard population 50th percentile, birth weight can be predicted with a single sonographic exploration after the 16th week of pregnancy. Data on 135 singleton pregnancies with accurate dates and delivery at term were used.

Experiments in term weighting for novelty mining
Expert Systems with Applications, 2011Abstract Obtaining new information in a short time is becoming crucial in today’s economy. A lot of information both offline or online is easily acquired, exacerbating the problem of information overload. Novelty mining detects documents/sentences that contain novel or new information and presents those results directly to users ( Tang, Tsai, & Chen,

Determinants of long‐term weight maintenance
Acta Paediatrica, 2007AbstractThe aim of this paper is to discuss existing evidence on the determinants of weight maintenance by examining population based studies on weight gain as well as studies on weight loss maintenance. The data shows that disadvantaged groups are less likely to maintain healthy weight, and various social and economic problems starting from early in ...

A Term Weighting Approach for Text Categorization
2005It is common that representative words in a document are identified and discriminated by their statistical distribution of their frequency statistics. We assume that evaluating the confidence measure of terms through content-based document analysis leads to a better performance than the parametric assumptions of the standard frequency-based method.

Relation Based Term Weighting Regularization
2012Traditional retrieval models compute term weights based on only the information related to individual terms such as TF and IDF. However, query terms are related. Intuitively, these relations could provide useful information about the importance of a term in the context of other query terms.
