Mars Entry Bank Profile Design for Terminal State Optimization

Journal of Spacecraft and Rockets, 2011
One challenge examined in NASA’s DRM 5.0 study is that of entry, descent, and landing (EDL) on Mars for high-ballistic-coefficient, human-class payloads. To define best-case entry scenarios for the evaluation of potential EDL system designs, a study is conducted to optimize the entry-to-terminal-state portion of EDL for a variety of entry velocities ...

Bank-to-Turn Guidance Law with Terminal Impact-Angle Constraint

Journal of Aerospace Engineering, 2016
AbstractTo avoid the mathematical singularity of polar converting in bank-to-turn (BTT) guidance and to provide the specified terminal impact angle, a BTT guidance law with impact-angle constraint (BTT-GL/IA) is presented. Considering the influence of the impact-angle control and target maneuver to the miss-distance, a new form zero-effort miss ...

A Common Operator Bank to Resolve Scheduling Issue on a Complexity Optimized SDR Terminal

2010 Sixth Advanced International Conference on Telecommunications, 2010
In the context of Software Defined Radio (SDR), parameterization technique is an interesting approach for the design of multi-standard terminals. It limits the size of the software to a small set of parameters thereby decreasing the radio reconfiguration time. In the proposed research, we refine the Common Operator (CO) technique, which defines a multi

Albumin Banks Peninsula: a new termination variant characterised by electrospray mass spectrometry

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Protein Structure and Molecular Enzymology, 1999
Albumin Banks Peninsula is an electrophoretically fast variant that is expressed at only 2% of the total serum albumin. Electrospray ionisation analysis indicated a mass decrease of 755 Da relative to normal albumin and carboxypeptidase A digestion, together with CNBr peptide mapping, indicated a C-terminal truncation. This was confirmed by PCR and DNA

Main Bank System Reform in Japan: The Terminal or Coexistence with Other Systems

2010 International Conference on Management and Service Science, 2010
The main bank system in Japan has undergone remarkable reformation since the 1980th. Through analysing its reform realisation, functional range and performance, it has been derived that the main bank system neither comes to its termination nor does it simply evolve into the 'creditor ex post monitoring' mode like that in the Western countries, but ...

Terminal Guidance for an Unpowered Reusable Launch Vehicle with Bank Constraints

Journal of Guidance, Control, and Dynamics, 2007
A new guidance scheme has been developed for the terminal phase of an unpowered reusable launch vehicle that has known limited bank capabilities. Reduced bank angle magnitude may be the result of actuator failures, and in such cases a vehicle will have difficulty performing the required heading change before approach and landing.

Visual Display Terminal use in Iranian bank tellers: Effects on job stress and insomnia

Work, 2015
BACKGROUND: Visual Display Terminals (VDTs) are equipments in many workplaces which their use may increase the risk of visual, musculoskeletal and mental problems including insomnia. OBJECTIVE: To determine the relationship between duration of daily VDT use and insomnia among the Iranian bank tellers.
