A Compound Controller Design for a Buck Converter

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
In order to improve the performance of the closed-loop Buck converter control system, a compound control scheme based on nonlinear disturbance observer (DO) and nonsingular terminal sliding mode (TSM) was developed to control the Buck converter.

Optimal control of the state statistics for a linear stochastic system

open access: yes, 2015
We consider a variant of the classical linear quadratic Gaussian regulator (LQG) in which penalties on the endpoint state are replaced by the specification of the terminal state distribution.

Integration of circadian and hypoxia signaling via non‐canonical heterodimerization

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CLOCK, BMAL1, and HIFs are basic helix‐loop‐helix and Per‐Arnt‐Sim domain (bHLH‐PAS) proteins, which function as transcription factors. bHLH‐PAS proteins are designated in two classes. Many class I proteins are regulated by environmental signals via their PAS domains, but such signals have not been identified for all.

Band engineering and phonon softening enable the achievement of significant enhancement in the thermoelectric performance of EuMg2Sb2 by Zn doping

open access: yesJournal of Materiomics
The Zintl compound EuMg2Sb2 is a promising thermoelectric material due to its inherently low lattice thermal conductivity and tunable electronic and thermal properties related to its multi-component nature.

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Quantum-state transfer in spin chains via isolated resonance of terminal spins

open access: yes, 2014
We propose a quantum-state transfer protocol in a spin chain that requires only the control of the spins at the ends of the quantum wire. The protocol is to a large extent insensitive to inhomogeneity caused by local magnetic fields and perturbation of ...

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

Conserved structural motifs in PAS, LOV, and CRY proteins regulate circadian rhythms and are therapeutic targets

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

Context-aware learning-based access control method for power IoT

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2021
In view of the problems of severe access conflicts, high queue backlog, and low energy efficiency in the massive terminal access scenario of the power Internet of things (power IoT) in 6G era, a context-aware learning-based access control (CLAC ...

Desired Terminal State Concept in Model Predictive Control: A Case Study

open access: yesJournal of Control Science and Engineering, 2019
The paper deals with an online optimization control method for dynamical processes called Model Predictive Control (MPC). It is a popular control method in industry and frequently treated in academic areas as well.
