A Novel Quantification Method for High Voltage Structural Evolution in Sodium and Lithium Layered Oxides

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
High‐voltage cycling of layered alkali transition metal oxides in Li‐ and Na‐ion cells increases energy density but diminishes lifetime. A novel XRD‐analysis method, centered on the stacking factor “z”, is developed to quantify the stacking fractions in the OP hybrid structure.

Molecular Engineering of Layered Halide Double Perovskites: Challenges and Opportunities in Optoelectronics and Beyond

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Layered halide double perovskites have emerged as promising alternatives to toxic lead‐based low‐dimensional perovskite materials for more sustainable optoelectronics. Their molecular design and its impact on the material characteristics, as well as the resulting functionality, is reviewed while discussing challenges and opportunities for future ...

Impact of Trap Depth on the Steady‐State and Transient Photoluminescence in Halide Perovskite Films

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
The presence of shallow traps in halide perovskites is frequently postulated by density functional theory calculations. This review studies the implications of recombination‐active shallow traps on steady‐state and transient recombination kinetics. How to identify shallow traps and how the depth of the traps and their density are reflected in different
