Dissection of enzymatic kinetics and elucidation of detailed parameters based on the Michaelis‐Menten model. Kinetic and thermodynamic connections

open access: yesEngineering Reports, 2020
A computational procedure based on the numerical integration of the Michaelis‐Menten model of enzyme action, free of any restrictions of steady‐state conditions and substrate/enzyme ratios is proposed.

A three-dimensional model to describe complete human corneal oxygenation during contact lens wear. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Biomed Mater Res B Appl Biomater, 2023
A full 3D axisymmetric and time‐dependent model of the cornea‐lens system has been numerically solved to determine the oxygen flux and consumption in each part of the cornea. We apply our model to different lenses currently usted on the market, showing the importance of detailed geometry in the modelling of these systems. Abstract We perform a novel 3D

A new three-dimensional model to describe human corneal oxygenation during contact lenses wear. [PDF]

open access: yesOphthalmic Physiol Opt
Abstract Purpose This three‐dimensional study investigated how different contact lens materials affect oxygen levels in the cornea. Specifically, it measured oxygen tension, flux and consumption in the epithelium, stroma and endothelium when exposed to various contact lenses.

Cellulose‐Assisted Formation of 2D Hybrid Halide Perovskite Nanocrystals with Enhanced Stability for Light‐Emitting Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 11, Issue 20, October 18, 2023., 2023
The addition of a large amount of β‐(1,4) cellulose oligosaccharide (20 wt.%) to metal halide perovskites (MHPs) layers causes a reduction of the perovskite grains to the nanometer scale (30–40 nm) together with a 14‐fold increase of the photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY).

Study of the solubility of xonotlite

open access: yesce/papers, Volume 6, Issue 2, Page 238-245, September 2023., 2023
Abstract Xonotlite (Ca6Si6O17(OH)2) is a hydrated crystalline calcium silicate with CaO/SiO2 = 1, which forms under hy‐drothermal conditions at temperature above ∼100°C. It has good thermal stability, it dehydrates to wollastonite only at 770 to 800°C and shows a good resistance to high pressures.

Insight into the Role of Guanidinium and Cesium in Triple Cation Lead Halide Perovskites

open access: yesSolar RRL, Volume 5, Issue 12, December 2021., 2021
Partial replacement (5–15%) of methylammonium (MA) in the MAPbI3 perovskite by cesium or guanidinium (Gua) cations is demonstrated by X‐ray diffraction, revealing shrinkage or expansion of the unit cell upon Cs or Gua incorporation, respectively. The power conversion efficiency improves from an average value of 18.6% for the MAPbI3 to a value of 20.0 ...

Size‐Based Cationic Molecular Sieving through Solid‐State Nanochannels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 8, Issue 6, March 23, 2021., 2021
The molecular sieving behavior of a soft‐etched nanoporous polyimide membrane using cationic alkali metal‐crown ether complexes and organic cations ranging in size from ammonium to tetraalkylammonium is demonstrated. The experimental data shows that nanochannels only allow the permeation of small cationic species, while excluding the larger ones ...

Desenvolvimento de uma bancada didática de um ciclo de refrigeração por compressão de vapor [PDF]

open access: yesRevista Liberato, 2020
Atualmente, muitas atividades da vida humana dependem do uso de equipamentos que operam com base nos princípios da refrigeração. Em certos casos, pode-se até dizer que a própria sobrevivência humana depende de um processo de refrigeração. Assim, torna-se
