Insights Into Changing Interglacial Conditions in Subarctic Canada From MIS 11 Through MIS 5e From Seasonally Resolved Speleothem Records

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
High‐resolution records from past interglacial climates help constrain future responses to global warming, yet are rare. Here, we produce seasonally resolved climate records from subarctic‐Canada using micron‐scale measurements of oxygen isotopes (δ18O ...

Nocturnal Intraocular Pressure Monitoring With a Soft Contact Lens Sensor for Glaucoma Management

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A soft contact lens sensor enables continuous, noninvasive monitoring of nocturnal intraocular pressure (IOP) under closed‐eye sleep conditions. By integrating a highly compliant inductive–capacitive circuit onto a commercial lens, the device achieves record sensitivity and stable performance.

Van der Waals Chromium Telluride Thin Films Prepared by Hybrid Pulsed Laser Deposition With Tunable Magnetism

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Epitaxial Cr(1+δ)Te2 thin films were synthesized via hybrid Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD) that combined Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) techniques with PLD. Control of the Cr intercalation, δ, enabled modulation of magnetic anisotropy, Curie temperature, and transport properties.

De-mystifying problematics of Zimbabwe’s broadcasting frequencies spectrum allocation: case of free-to air digital terrestrial television licensing

open access: yesCogent Arts & Humanities
Although Zimbabwe opened its airwaves to private players in 2002, broadcasting spectrum frequency licensing has remained contentious with some stakeholders arguing the process lacks transparency and is deceptive to media reform.

Novel Methanotrophs of the Family Methylococcaceae from Different Geographical Regions and Habitats

open access: yesMicroorganisms, 2015
Terrestrial methane seeps and rice paddy fields are important ecosystems in the methane cycle. Methanotrophic bacteria in these ecosystems play a key role in reducing methane emission into the atmosphere.

Modelling terrestrial ecosystem productivity using remote sensing data

open access: yes, 2012
Production efficiency models (PEMs) have been developed to aid with the estimation of terrestrial ecosystems productivity where large spatial scales make direct measurement impractical.

Terrestrial carbon removal activities, standards, certifications, and their expected durations

open access: yes, 2023
Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) is a mitigation activity that captures carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and stores it in reservoirs or products, and proof of storage is given through carbon accounting methodologies embodied in standards. We review nature-

Advances in Halide Perovskites for Photon Radiation Detectors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work highlights recent progress in perovskite‐based photon radiation detectors, covering organic–inorganic hybrid, inorganic, lead‐free double, and vacancy‐ordered halide perovskites. Their detection performance is compared, material‐specific advantages and challenges are examined, and provides insight into current limitations and future ...
