A geometrical-based approach to recognise structure of complex interiors [PDF]

open access: yes
3D modelling of building interiors has gained a lot of interest recently, specifically since the rise of Building Information Modeling (BIM). A number of methods have been developed in the past, however most of them are limited to modelling non-complex

Performance of Glass Fiber Composites With Plastic‐Waste Pyrolysis Char as Filler

open access: yesPolymer Composites, EarlyView.
Valorisation of mixed plastic waste into carbonaceous char via pyrolysis, its integration as a microfiller in epoxy/E‐glass (GFRP) laminates, and characterisation to assess composite performance as a function of filler loading. ABSTRACT Plastic pyrolysis offers circular solutions for mixed plastic waste but leaves a carbonaceous char that is often ...

Terrestrial laser scanning of the river environment [PDF]

open access: yes
This thesis describes the results of three field studies concerned with the utilisation \ud of terrestrial laser scanning in the river environment, over different spatial scales. \ud Existing research and technical literature has also been reviewed relating to scale, \ud form and process in the river environment, conventional measurement techniques \ud

Identifying Suitable Front Contacts for High‐Efficiency Cd(Se,Te) Solar Cells on Space‐Qualified Cover Glass

open access: yesProgress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, EarlyView.
Front contact selection governs interfacial stability in CdTe‐based (Cd(Se,Te)) solar cells on ultra‐thin space‐qualified cover glass. Optimized TCO/emitter combinations suppress interdiffusion and deliver up to 16.2% AM0 efficiency with high specific power, demonstrating strong potential for lightweight space photovoltaics.

Exploring the links between Large Igneous Provinces and dramatic environmental impact

An emerging consensus suggests that Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs) and Silicic LIPs (SLIPs) are a significant driver of dramatic global environmental and biological changes, including mass extinctions.
