Habitable Planet Formation in Binary-Planetary Systems [PDF]
Recent radial velocity observations have indicated that Jovian-type planets can exist in moderately close binary star systems. Numerical simulations of the dynamical stability of terrestrial-class planets in such environments have shown that, in addition

The coordination in carbonate solvents and degradation products of lithium difluoro(oxolato) borate (LiDFOB) salt enables sufficient passivation of both LiNi0.8Mn0.1Co0.1O2 (NMC811) cathode and graphite anode in the absence of ethylene carbonate (EC).

Estimation of a planetary magnetic field using a reduced magnetohydrodynamic model [PDF]
Knowledge of planetary magnetic fields provides deep insights into the structure and dynamics of planets. Due to the interaction of a planet with the solar wind plasma, a rather complex magnetic environment is generated.

On the Survival of Short-Period Terrestrial Planets
The currently feasible method of detection of Earth-mass planets is transit photometry, with detection probability decreasing with a planet's distance from the star.

Mechanochromic hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC) integrated with microfluidic devices creates scalable, eco‐friendly reflective color displays. We demonstrate mechanochromic displays with 500 µm pixel size and 5Hz switching rates with room for optimisation. The proposed mechanochromic HPC displays are an initial step toward more environmentally responsible

The larger ion size of Na+ versus with Li+ has a pronounced impact on the intercalation chemistry of disordered rocksalt cathode materials. On charge, the disordered rocksalt structure is retained in Li2MnO2F but it is lost in Na2MnO2F resulting in extensive amorphization.

Planetary Dynamics and Habitable Planet Formation In Binary Star Systems
Whether binaries can harbor potentially habitable planets depends on several factors including the physical properties and the orbital characteristics of the binary system.

The origin of the terrestrial planets
Three major planets, Venus, Earth, and Mercury formed out of the solar nebula. A fourth planetesimal, Theia, also formed near Earth where it collided in a giant impact, rebounding as the planet Mars. During this impact Earth lost ${\approx}4$\% of its crust and mantle that is now is found on Mars and the Moon.
