Abstract In chapter 3 we outlined the ways in which community policing is an official discourse that constitutes changing mentalities, sensibilities, and practices in risk society. In this chapter we show that the tracing and mobilizing of territories exists within the ambit of this discourse and in turn helps to constitute it.

We investigate the possibility of observing cooperative behavior in simple, autonomous, and non-communicating robotic agents when performing a harvesting task in a multi-agent environment. We evaluate a method to enforce a reflex-like territorial behavior in order to optimize individual and collective utilities.
