From Blue Economy to Blue Marketing: Linking Consumer Engagement and Corporate Strategy for Ocean Sustainability—Theoretical Foundations and Propositions

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Blue economy advocates the sustainable use of marine resources while fostering economic growth and environmental preservation. Yet many business sectors still pursue extractive practices that undermine marine ecosystems and disregard consumers' sensitivity.

Heritage as curriculum: Intangible cultural heritage examined through a comparative study of visual art education across Japan, Australia and Finland

open access: yesThe Curriculum Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract UNESCO mandates have spurred global interest in Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) as a response to global tensions and as a tool for peacebuilding, identity, reconciliation and resilience. The question arises as to how these living traditions might survive the transition into formal education curricula, especially Visual Art Education (VAE ...

Performance assessment of a potential underground thermal storage facility: Case study of the closed mine Prosper‐Haniel in the Ruhr coal mining area in Germany

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates the feasibility of an underground closed‐loop thermal storage facility at a post‐mining site, intended for seasonal heat energy storage. Its principal design shows water flow directions in winter and summer (1, 2), heat pumps (3), an upper water reservoir (4), and connecting pipes (5).

A shining starlet: Nematostella vectensis as a model for developmental, regenerative, and comparative biology

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract The sea anemone, Nematostella vectensis, has been used as a model organism in developmental biology studies for many years. This estuarine species has the notable capacity to regenerate its full body plan from small pieces throughout life. Nematostella have been described as having a great degree of cellular plasticity.

Zebrafish ventral gastrula fate map reveals neural crest progenitor domain

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Fate maps relate progenitor cell positions to later fates and locations of their progeny, revealing early embryonic organization. Previous zebrafish fate maps identified the origin of germ layers and derivative cell fates, but ventral gastrula progenitor domains were not fully resolved. In particular, the neural crest, a multipotent

Orthodentine‐osteodentine and osteocytic‐anosteocytic transition inferred from Silurian stem chondrichthyan dermal jawbones with ever‐white teeth overgrown by brown denticles

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The dentigerous jawbones of a 423‐million‐year‐old stem chondrichthyan (ischnacanthid acanthodian) carry a characteristic combination of multi‐row non‐shedding white teeth with brownish overgrowing denticles. The color distinction makes it a good model for observing the interaction between two odontode lineages, but the nature of ...

How Do Therapists Experience 20‐Session Cognitive‐Behavioral Therapy for Anorexia Nervosa (CBT‐AN‐20)? A Qualitative Study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective We need to understand therapists' experiences of delivering manual‐based psychotherapies to identify possible dissemination barriers and opportunities. This study explored therapists' experiences of delivering CBT‐AN‐20, a new 20‐session cognitive‐behavioral intervention for outpatients with anorexia nervosa.

Taxon‐dependent multisite species turnover in fragmented habitats: comparing zeta diversity across birds, butterflies, and cursorial hunting spiders

open access: yesEcography, EarlyView.
Habitat fragmentation alters species diversity and reshapes community composition. However, conventional pairwise approaches to compositional variation (i.e. beta diversity metrics) do not explicitly characterize how species sharing or turnover change with the number of habitat patches.

Challenges in Implementing European Regulation on Water Reuse for Sustainable Agriculture

open access: yesEnvironmental Policy and Governance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Regulation (EU) 2020/741 on minimum requirements for water reuse is a key policy for sustainable water management under growing water scarcity in Europe. This paper examines expert perspectives on the challenges involved in implementing EU regulation for water reuse in agriculture, aiming to broaden existing research, which is largely ...
