Error Compensation Model of a Vertical Coupling Torsional Stiffness Test Bench

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2023
A torsional stiffness test bench for vertical cylindrical couplings is developed and a compensation model for the test bench is investigated. The study illustrates the superiority of the vertical structure by analyzing the causes of errors between ...

Design of a test bench for measuring friction force in a piston-cylinder system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In the present work, design of a first approach of a test bench prototype for measuring friction in a piston-cylinder system is presented. The bench consists of a motor, belt and pulley transmission, crank mechanism, a piston, a cylinder and a ...

Trap‐Assisted Transport and Neuromorphic Plasticity in Lead‐Free 2D Perovskites PEA2SnI4

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An artificial retina built from lead‐free layered perovskite (PEA)2SnI4 converts light input into a persistent photocurrent and sums successive flashes over time. Micro/nanocrystals integrated on electrodes act as synapse‐like pixels that perform temporal integration directly in hardware. This in‐sensor preprocessing merges detection and computation on

Magnetism and Nonlinear Charge Transport in NiFe2O4/γ‐Al2O3/SrTiO3 Heterostructure: Toward Spintronic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this report, we demonstrate that a crystalline phase of 52nm thick NiFe2O4 can be grown by RF sputtering on top of γ‐Al2O3(8nm)/SrTiO3 at a significantly low temperature (150 °C) without compromising the mobility and carrier density of the 2D electron gas at the γ‐Al2O3(8nm)/SrTiO3 interface.

Calorimetric efficiency determination of power electronic variable speed drives [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A calorimeter test bench for the efficiency and power loss determination of power electronic variable speed drives is presented. The balanced calorimetric setup with air as the cooling medium is proposed to test small electronic drives for AC motors in a

Fluorine‐Free Soft Nanocomposites for High‐Speed Liquid Impact Repellence

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fluorine‐free soft nanocomposite coatings are developed using silicone oil‐mediated mechanical‐stiffness control, enabling ‘dry’ liquid‐repellent surfaces that resist high‐speed water jet impacts up to ∼60 m/s. By tuning nanoparticle loading and oil content, the coatings also achieve >90% optical transparency, amphiphobicity with impact resistance to ...

Non-Markovian Dynamics in Ultracold Rydberg Aggregates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We propose a setup of an open quantum system in which the environment can be tuned such that either Markovian or non-Markovian system dynamics can be achieved.

Electrocatalytic Reduction of CO2 to Ethylene: Catalyst Design and Synchrotron‐Based Characterizations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review evaluates strategies for electrochemical CO2 reduction to ethylene, focusing on copper‐based catalyst design and microenvironment modulation to achieve industrial‐grade performance. By leveraging operando synchrotron‐based characterizations, we provide a multiscale understanding of dynamic structural transformations and key reaction ...

Non-perturbative electroweak-scalegenesis on the test bench of dark matter detection

open access: yes, 2018
We revisit a recently proposed scale invariant extension of the standard model, in which the scalar bi-linear condensate in a strongly interacting hidden sector dynamically breaks scale symmetry, thereby triggering electroweak symmetry breaking. Relaxing
