Investigation of the Effects of Strain and Electric Field on the Spin‐State Energetics of Co‐Doped BaTiO3 and PbTiO3

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ab initio calculations using the r2SCAN functional show that biaxial strain does not alter the high spin preference of cobalt‐doped BaTiO3 and PbTiO3; a small compressive uniaxial strain however results in an equally favorable low spin state for BaTiO3 and thus bistable magnetism.

KINEMATICAL TEST THEORIES FOR SPECIAL RELATIVITY: A COMPARISON

open access: closedInternational Journal of Modern Physics D, 2002
A comparison of certain kinematical test theories for Special Relativity including the Robertson and Mansouri–Sext test theories is presented and the accuracy of the experimental results testing Special Relativity are expressed in terms of the parameters appearing in these test theories.

A crucial experiment to test Einstein’s special relativity theory

open access: closedIl Nuovo Cimento B Series 11, 1976
A crucial experiment is proposed to test the special relativity theory. It is based on the Mossbauer effect, and consists of mounting the source and absorber on two different rotors gyrating at the same speed, thus securing a relative speed between the two, while at the same time having both at the same absolute speed. It is able to distinguish between

Test theories of special relativity

open access: closedGeneral Relativity and Gravitation, 1995
We review the Edwards transformation, and investigate the Robertson transformation and the Mansouri-Sexl (ms) transformation. It is shown that thems transformation is a generalization of the Robertson transformation, just as the Edwards transformation is a generalization of the Lorentz transformation.

Synchronisation conventions in test theories of special relativity

open access: closedFoundations of Physics Letters, 1991
The Mansouri-Sexl class of test theories of special relativity has motivated various experiments to observe or limit the difference between slow clock transport and Einstein synchronisation. These do not constitute tests of the isotropy of the one-way speed of light, since the latter is conventional.
