Doxorubicin and 4‐Hydroperoxycyclophosphamide Alter Mitochondrial Dynamics and miR‐34 Expression in Spermatogonia and Spermatocytes In Vitro

open access: yesBasic &Clinical Pharmacology &Toxicology, Volume 139, Issue 4, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Doxorubicin (DOX) and cyclophosphamide (CP) are widely used chemotherapeutic agents with known gonadotoxic effects. Since miRNAs play a key role in the transcriptional regulation of spermatogenesis, they are suggested as biomarkers for male infertility.

Bilateral Leydig Cell Tumor in a Capuchin Monkey (Sapajus apella): Case Report

open access: yesJournal of Medical Primatology, Volume 55, Issue 5, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Leydig cell tumors (LCTs) are uncommon in nonhuman primates (NHPs). A bilateral LCT was identified in a 20‐year‐old male capuchin monkey (Sapajus apella) maintained under human care. Ultrasonography revealed a right testicular nodule, while necropsy identified bilateral testicular masses. Histopathology confirmed bilateral LCT.

Sudden death caused by testicular germ cell tumour

open access: yes, 1995
