Gut Akkermansia muciniphila is enriched by dietary selenium deficiency in aged telomere‐humanized mice and counteracts dietary selenium deficiency‐induced type 2 diabetes. ABSTRACT Previous studies have shown that dietary selenium (Se) deficiency in mice reshapes gut microbiota, exacerbates healthspan deterioration (e.g., type 2 diabetes), and ...

Testosterone aggravates cerebral vascular injury by reducing plasma HDL levels
Testosterone is often used to improve the physiological function. But increased testosterone levels affect blood lipids and cause inflammation and oxidative stress, which are risk factors for vascular diseases.

Gut microbiota composition may influence trajectories of intrinsic capacity throughout life. Factors that positively or negatively impact gut microbiota (determining eubiosis or dysbiosis, respectively) can affect health, potentially acting through short‐chain fatty acids and their metabolic and anti‐inflammatory functions.

Effect of Testosterone Propionate on Greatinuria.
Numerous reports have been presented concerning the effects of castration, administration of androgens and estrogens in pure form, implantation of gonads, and injections of gonad extracts or saline suspensions upon creatine and creatinine metabolism in the normal and castrate animal.

Senescent BPH epithelial cells secrete CXCL13 to recruit CD4+ T cells via CXCR5. Cytotoxic CD4+ T cells eliminate senescent cells through MHC‐II–dependent recognition. Tregs suppress, while B cells show minimal effect. This immune axis modulates senescent cell clearance and may influence BPH progression.
