Dynamic Analysis of Tethered Satellites with a Payload Moving Along a Flexible Tether
This study investigates the dynamic behavior of a three-body tethered satellite system with a flexible tether, focusing on a scenario in which a payload is transported along the tether connecting two satellites.

Dynamics of structures of clusters of tethered satellite [PDF]
In this paper, we study the nonlinear dynamics of clusters of tethered satellites via numerical step-by-step time integration of the differential equations of motion. The basic algorithm is Central Difference explicit method.

A Unification of Models of Tethered Satellites [PDF]
In this paper, different conservative models of tethered satellites are related mathematically, and it is established in what limit they may provide useful insight into the underlying dynamics. An infinite dimensional model is linked to a finite dimensional model, the slack-spring model, through a conjecture on the singular perturbation of tether ...

Micro Satellite Orbital Boost by Electrodynamic Tethers [PDF]
In this manuscript, a method for maneuvering a spacecraft using electrically charged tethers is explored. The spacecraft’s velocity vector can be modified by interacting with Earth’s magnetic field. Through this method, a spacecraft can maintain an orbit indefinitely by reboosting without the constraint of limited propellant.

ON CONTROL OF TETHERED SATELLITE SYSTEMS
Abstract The dynamics of tethered satellite systems is rather complex and consists of various rotational and vibrational degrees of freedom. While designing its control system, some of these degrees of freedom may be modeled while the others are likely to be left unmodeled to reduce complexity and cost.

In-plane adaptive retrieval control for a noncooperative target by tethered space robots
Using tether to replace rigid arms, the tethered space robot has more flexibility and security than the traditional space robot, which gives it a wide application prospect in the satellite retrieval.

Application of cloud particle sensor sondes for estimating the number concentration of cloud water droplets and liquid water content: case studies in the Arctic region [PDF]
A cloud particle sensor (CPS) sonde is an observing system attached with a radiosonde sensor to observe the vertical structure of cloud properties. The signals obtained from CPS sondes are related to the phase, size, and number of cloud particles.
