Pharmacokinetics of tetrachloroethylene.
Toxicology and applied pharmacology, 1988A physiological pharmacokinetic model is developed to describe the pharmacokinetics of tetrachloroethylene (PCE) in mice, rats, and humans. The body is divided into four tissue compartments (vessel-rich, muscle, slowly perfused fat, and liver) connected by the arterial and venous blood flow pathways.

Population toxicokinetics of tetrachloroethylene
Archives of Toxicology, 1996In assessing the distribution and metabolism of toxic compounds in the body, measurements are not always feasible for ethical or technical reasons. Computer modeling offers a reasonable alternative, but the variability and complexity of biological systems pose unique challenges in model building and adjustment.

Acute Tetrachloroethylene Fatality
Clinical Toxicology, 1979Tetrachloroethylene was indicated in the accidental death of a man clearing a line in a dry-cleaning establishment. Blood and tissue concentrations were measured by gas chromatography-mass fragmentography. Distribution of tetrachloroethylene was consistent with its lipophilic properties, being highest in the brain and lowest in the lung tissue.

The photodissociation dynamics of tetrachloroethylene
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2011We present a direct current slice imaging study of tetrachloroethylene (C2Cl4) photodissociation, probing the resulting ground state Cl (2P3/2) and spin-orbit excited state Cl* (2P1/2) products. We report photofragment images, total translational energy distributions and the product branching ratio of Cl*/Cl following dissociation at 235 and 202 nm ...

RADIOLYSIS OF TETRACHLOROETHYLENE
Canadian Journal of Chemistry, 1959When tetrachloroethylene is irradiated with Co60 gamma rays in the presence of oxygen or air, the main products are trichloroacetyl chloride, phosgene, and oxalyl chloride. The reaction is a chain reaction. Possible reaction mechanisms are discussed.

Kinetics of tetrachloroethylene photochlorination
International Journal of Chemical Kinetics, 1984AbstractPhotochlorination of tetrachloroethylene has been studied in a homogeneous liquid system. Kinetic parameters such as reaction orders for chlorine, tetracholoroethylene and light intensity, preexponential factor, and activation energy were evaluated from experimental data.
