Autonomous Folding of Soft Matter From Living Polymers
Origami structures are endowed with “living” polymer creases that grow, remodel, and stiffen in response to nutrient solutions. This post‐fabrication growth enables autonomous folding, iterative regrowth, and mechanical tuning involving origami assemblies, such as cranes, Miura‐ori tessellations, rigid and non‐rigid square‐twist patterns, establishing ...

Gas phase oxidation of tetrahydrofuran
The slow gas‐phase oxidation of tetrahydrofuran was studied under static conditions at 220°C. The relative amounts of each product, if extrapolated to zero reaction time, show which are the primary reaction products, and the reaction stoichiometry was ...

10-Phenyl-10H-phenoxazine-4,6-diol tetrahydrofuran monosolvate
In the crystalline state of the title solvate, C18H13NO3·C4H8O, hydrogen-bonding interactions between hydroxyl groups on a phenoxazine backbone and the tetrahydrofuran solvent are observed that suggest the ability for this compound to act as a chelating ...

Programmable Functional Silicification of DNA Origami Nanostructures
This work introduces additional functionality into silica‐coated DNA origami nanostructures using non‐standard silica precursors. A fluorescent precursor enables enhanced intracellular tracking, while a disulfide‐containing reagent yields redox‐responsive, degradable silica coatings.

Catalytic hydrogenation of itaconic acid (obtained from glucose fermentation) yields 3-methyl-tetrahydrofuran (3-MTHF), which then undergoes catalytic dehydra-decyclization to isoprene. It is demonstrated that a one-pot cascade reaction converts itaconic

Adsorption‐Engineered Hydrocarbon Ionomers for Durable Proton‐Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells
Hydrocarbon ionomers suffer from oxidation‐driven interfacial degradation in PEM fuel cell cathodes, leading to catalyst instability. Here, adsorption‐engineered poly(fluorene) ionomers decouple interfacial anchoring from oxidative degradation, enabling strong catalyst–ionomer interactions while resisting electrochemical oxidation.
