Tetranychus desertorum Banks Tetranychus desertorum Banks, 1900: 229. Specimens examined: four females, two males, together with Mononychellus planki, from the same plant and location. The females of this mite are carmine. The mites develop on the lower surface of older leaves and were observed in small numbers.
