Microplastics have emerged as widespread terrestrial contaminants, yet their mechanistic effects on medicinal plants remain largely unresolved. Here, we investigated the uptake, intracellular movement, and multi-level stress responses of Tetrastigma hemsleyanum, a flavonoid-rich medicinal species, under exposure to polystyrene microplastics.
