Single-Molecule Imaging and Spectroscopy Enables Quantification of Location-Dependent Light-Matter Interactions on Nanoantennas. [PDF]
The fluorescence intensity as well as the spectral shape of the emission of single dye molecules strongly depend on the molecules’ exact position relative to plasmonic nanoparticles in hybrid systems. By point‐spread function modification analysis, the vertical binding location of single fluorophores on gold nanocones is obtained and correlated to both

Similar Individual Serum Levels of MCP-1, TNF-α, and IL-6 From Periodontitis Patients Before and 1 Year After Treatment. [PDF]
Periodontitis patients before and 1 year present with similar levels of MCP‐1, TNF‐α, and IL‐6, cytokine equilibrium. MCP‐1, TNF‐α, and IL‐6 are not correlated per individual, meaning that some individuals may present with relatively high levels of one of the cytokines with lower levels of the other cytokines or cytokine signature.

Exploring the Cell Biological and Functional Effects of the First Disease Associated KCC1 Genetic Variant. [PDF]
ABSTRACT The potassium chloride cotransporter 1 (KCC1) is ubiquitously expressed and essential for regulating cellular fluid balance. We identified a patient carrying a genetic variant (E1065K) in the KCC1 coding gene SLC12A4. This study explored the impact of the variant in ectopic cell systems and enhanced the understanding of cell biological ...

Are Controversial Issues in Cervical Total Disc Replacement Resolved or Unresolved?: A Review of Literature and Recent Updates [PDF]
Since the launch of cervical total disc replacement (CTDR) in the early 2000s, many clinical studies have reported better outcomes of CTDR compared to those of anterior cervical discectomy and fusion. However, CTDR is still a new and innovative procedure
