Protein requirements of Texel crossbred lambs
Small Ruminant Research, 2009Abstract A comparative slaughter trial was conducted to determine the protein requirements for maintenance and growth of feedlot Texel crossbred lambs. Thirty 11/16 Texel × 5/16 Ile de France crossbred noncastrated male lambs weaned at 42 days of age (16.2 ± 2.1 kg of shrunk body weight; SBW) were used. Five lambs were chosen randomly and slaughtered

We have developed a texture space shading system built on modern graphics hardware. It begins with a conventional rasterization stage, but records texel accesses as shading work rather than running a shade per pixel.

Cheilognathoschisis in Texel sheep.
Tijdschrift voor diergeneeskunde, 1976In view of the birth of abnormal Texel lambs sired by a single ram, experimental matings were carried out to determine the extent to which the malformations shown by the lambs were clear-cut inherited defects and, if so, which was the mode of hereditary transmission.

Morphology and Morphogenesis of Hereditary Microphthalmia in Texel Sheep
Journal of Comparative Pathology, 2003The study presents a morphological description of inherited microphthalmia in Texel sheep and the morphogenesis of the lesion during embryonal development. The eyes of 28 newborn and young lambs with microphthalmia were examined morphologically. Blind rams with microphthalmia were crossed with ewes known to be carriers of the "microphthalmia factor ...

Extracting Texels in 2.1D Natural Textures
2007 IEEE 11th International Conference on Computer Vision, 2007This paper proposes the problem of unsupervised extraction of texture elements, called texels, which repeatedly occur in the image of a frontally viewed, homogeneous, 2.1D, planar texture, and presents a solution. 2.1D texture here means that the physical texels are thin objects lying along a surface that may partially occlude one another.

CBIR using texels of RGB colour textons
2011 World Congress on Information and Communication Technologies, 2011The aim of this paper is to increase the success rate of CBIR system with low computational complexity. The success rate of CBIR system depends on localization of the image to be retrieved. This can be achieved by using textons of R, G, B planes of the image which describes the shape.

Floating articulated bivalves, Texel, North Sea
Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology, 2002Abstract Articulated, closed, empty bivalves were collected from a modern beach on the island of Texel, The Netherlands. They included many 2-year-old Spisula subtruncata (average length 25.5 mm). Experiments indicated that they could float. Normally, dead but still articulated bivalves on the beach gape; because the adductor muscles no longer pull ...
